Mooi doorkijkje bij Eagle Beach
Despues Carnaval (na carnaval op z'n Hollands) is een periode van afkicken. Het grote feesten is voorbij, maar het genieten blijft. Zo zit ik vaak tijdens de zwemles van Angelo even een half uurtje in mijn klapstoeltje op bovenstaand strand te genieten van het uitzicht. De zwemschool ligt namelijk zowat pal aan het strand. Hartstikke lekker natuurlijk.

Naast genieten wordt er ook hard gewerkt. Sandro is door de week druk met de patiënten op de poli en ik op kantoor bij de deurwaarder. Beide hebben we het prima naar de zin.

Verder is er nog nieuws: we zijn een stapje verder met de nieuwbouwplannen. De tekening bij de architect is klaar en hij is ingediend bij DOW (Dienst Openbare Werken). Bij de notaris is de erfpachtsgrond inmiddels op onze naam gezet en nu is het wachten op afgifte bouwvergunning. Deze is op dit moment op één puntje afgekeurd, maar op Aruba valt er altijd wel een mouw aan te passen aan de tekening, zodat deze wèl door de keuring komt (!).
Ook de zwemles is lekker buiten: hier zie je Angelo het water in springen. Hij oefent voor diploma D.

In de weekenden is het vooral lekker genieten van een wijntje en kaasje, al dan niet op de porch.
De kinderen hebben hun tweede rapport van school gekregen en zijn met goede punten de paasvakantie in gegaan. Angelo zelfs als beste van de klas. Laten we hopen dat het zo blijft. Laura doet op 19 april haar test voor de HAVO en dan weten we half of eind mei of ze geplaatst is.

Alweer 9 jaar geworden, onze kanjer
Tenslotte hebben we nog Angelo's negende verjaardag gevierd. Het gaat enorm snel allemaal. Hij gaat volgend jaar al naar de "bovenbouw" van school en Laura al naar de middelbare. Angelo heeft een Wii spelcomputer gekregen en daarnaast ook een Wii spel van opa en een horloge van oma en opa uit Waalwijk.

De foto's staan een beetje door elkaar, maar dat maakt de pret er niet minder om. We leven tenslotte op Aruba en tja "You only life once"is hier het motto. Dus genieten we nog even verder hier tot de volgende blog!!!

I am a very interested person in knowing things so different as the culture, the way of life of the inhabitants of our planet, the fauna, the flora, and the landscapes of all the countries of the world etc. in summary, I am a person that enjoys traveling, learning and respecting people's diversity from all over the world.
I would love to travel and meet in person all the aspects above mentioned, but unfortunately as this is very expensive and my purchasing power is quite small, so I devised a way to travel with the imagination in every corner of our planet. A few years ago I started a collection of used stamps because trough them, you can see pictures about fauna, flora, monuments, landscapes etc. from all the countries. As every day is more and more difficult to get stamps, some years ago I started a new collection in order to get traditional letters addressed to me in which my goal was to get at least 1 letter from each country in the world. This modest goal is feasible to reach in the most part of countries, but unfortunately it’s impossible to achieve in other various territories for several reasons, either because they are countries at war, either because they are countries with extreme poverty or because for whatever reason the postal system is not functioning properly.
For all this I would ask you one small favor:
Would you be so kind as to send me a letter by traditional mail from Aruba? I understand perfectly that you think that your blog is not the appropriate place to ask this, and even, is very probably that you ignore my letter, but I would call your attention to the difficulty involved in getting a letter from that country, and also I don’t know anyone neither where to write in Aruba in order to increase my collection. a letter for me is like a little souvenir, like if I have had visited that territory with my imagination and at same time, the arrival of the letters from a country is a sign of peace and normality and an original way to promote a country in the world.
